Seattle Weekly Artopia Box

When I was contacted by Seattle Weekly to ask about interest in participating in their Art Box project I began sketching out a few ideas as to what I might want to do. When I learned that the beneficiary this year would be Coyote Central, a fantastic organization which focuses on creative learning in adolescents with arts projects, I changed plans and decided to do a version of my work "Belfast".

The box was delivered and over the weekend I alternated painting and waiting for paint to dry. Bright and early Tuesday they returned to pick up my completed work and drop it at the corner of Western and Spring. It will be there for a few months or until it vanishes in the night.

A Separate Peace

The Caudled Milk studio is a disaster area with a liberal carpet of paint and glue stained newspapers, tiny shreds of paper, tubes of paint, and more likely than not an x-acto knife or two. But the show is complete or at least hung and ready for the opening tomorrow night during Pioneer Square's Artwalk. I will be at Core Gallery from 6-9 pm so drop by and see the 14 new pieces in person.
