SALT

Here are two new 8" x 10" pieces for my upcoming show: SALT. Both are acrylic, dye, stain and paper collage on canvas. I am leaning towards a third to turn it into a tryptic  but time is getting tight. Keep you fingers crossed and keep gluing.

The Red Sun

"The Red Sun", 5" x 7", collage, acrylic paint, 2012

It was when I created this piece a little while back that I realized the theme for my upcoming show SALT had solidified and I had the basis for a new series. The concept has been approached twice before, one of which, "Etch-a-Sketch",  was part of my series Negotiations & Love Songs. The repetition of elements throughout struck me as the clarion call I was searching for and off I went. Stay tuned for more work in the coming month!
