With a ratchet in your waist

Another of the 5 x 5s from this years show found a new home this week; Rudie/Johnny Too Bad/Rudolph von Rudinheimer who was a favorite of both Swisscake and myself.
She started with the little chunky fellow and of course, I had to take him in another direction. The pants needed suspenders and from there, I knew what had to happen. I merged and typed lyrics for "This is England" by the Clash and "Do the Dog" by the Specials.

5 x 5 at 619

I have been working feverishly to finish my 5 x 5 pieces for the show  that will be at 619 Western Avenue during the December First Thursday Artwalk.* As La Familia Gallery will no longer be in its current location, the Baby Seal Club has extended the offer of space on the third floor of the 619 Building.

The theme for this year's works developed from the collaboration with Swiscake for my September show. Ms. P and I took the poppet idea and continued to experiment with it.

The exhibition will feature new works by:
Michelle Anderst, James Caudle, Maria Coryell-Martin, Sara Evertt, Mathew Harleroad, Laura Hines, Mirka Hokkanen, Liz Maxfield, and Jim Pirie
