 For my latest collage I thought I would do another post showing the stages from concept to completion. I found two figures where the sizing and direction of focus seemed to pull them together so I decided to oblige.
The background was suggested by the positions they would need to occupy to be proportional and the piece built itself up from there.

Lazing On A Sunny Afternoon

Yesterday I took a trip out to Mt. Si with the Slaugherhaus Rose Arts Collective to show off our Wall Of Found at the Sound to Mountain Bicycle Festival.  You may remember our set up at the Georgetown Carnival with the tape strips glued to a wall and then played with modified tape head madness! 
Just across from our setup my collage "Envy" was on display as part of the "Inky Spokes" show of bicycle inspired art. And as an added bonus, the sun even came out!

This is a new piece that almost went into my Show at Core Gallery but wasn't quite the right fit. Which turned out for the best since with some quick work inside the ribcage it makes the perfect gift for a Beatles themed wedding.

Urchin

Following a hiatus from painting after hanging my show at Core Gallery last month I recently started sketching up a few ideas; I really enjoyed working on a large scale again and so will be picking up canvas soon; keep tuned for a new series of rolled works. Here is a sketch of one piece.
